Our School Counselling Partnerships are working successfully in many Medway schools. We offer a rapid response to students and their parents. Counselling gives a regular space and time to talk, explore or think about things that are important, particularly those that are worrying or difficult. It can help with distress including bereavement, relationships, and self esteem issues. We see individuals, families and run groups (e.g. self esteem, behaviour). We also offer a range of training courses to staff, parents and students including: anger management, assertiveness, mediation, coaching, stress management, listening skills and Transactional Analysis. “Using the Early Intervention Counselling approach we have managed to support the emotional and development needs of our pupils. We value the Counselling Service, and will continue to promote the service as a level of good practise.” Lynn Andrews, HT - Saxon Way Primary School -Children’s Centre |
