TIC CiC given grant to upgrade IT systems.
Simon Millard, TIC CiC Director said, “We are delighted to be able to improve our, administration, services and keep up with the times as the concept develops. This has been made possible by a grant from the Big Lottery distributors ‘Awards for All’ and we are grateful for their continued support”.
Local youngsters get more parent support.
TIC CiC is thrilled to be working in partnership with Rivermead School in Gillingham - the venue for a new support project for parents of children with disabilities. This BRIC Project has been made possible by a grant from ‘A Better Medway Community Chest’.
It will give parents more coping strategies to reduce stress levels, and so enhance their own and their children’s lives. It aims at improving communication and relationships, and to develop peer support groups with the course participants thus making a sustainable support model for the future. There is funding initially to run two separate courses (Feb to Apr and May to July 2011).
